About Bennett

Hi, my name is Bennett Becicka. Don't worry about trying to pronounce my last name, most people can't. But if you're really interested it sounds like Betch*itch*ka.

I am a proud Panther at the University of Northern Iowa. This May I will graduate with my bachelor's degree in marketing with an emphasis in digital advertisement. My future aspirations include continuing my education to achieve my master's degree while attending ROTC to become an officer in the National Guard.

Trying to explain all my interests would get tiring very fast. I enjoy learning a bit about everything. I'm a jack of all trades but a master of none. But I'll list off a few things I enjoy in my spare time. I enjoy performing for people. I act, juggle, unicycle, walk on stilts, sing (mostly to myself), and walk on my hands. If I can make someone smile then I did my job. I also enjoy art such a photography and acrylic painting. Academically marketing and advertising are my forte, but I also indulge myself in philosophy. And last but not least, and probably most important for this blog, I really really like drinking beer (responsibly of course). And I advocate that any and all readers who are of age to drink responsibly as well.

So why did I choose to blog about micobrews? Writing about microbreweries combines my interests in marketing, advertising, drinking, bars, and breweries. I find the idea of homebrewing to be quite appealing, and I've wanted to try it myself for the past couple years now but haven't had the slightest notion of where to start. I also dream of opening a bar some day, and visiting breweries and learning about beers and the brewing process is good knowledge to have in the bar industry.
